An ultrasound can be performed at any time during your pregnancy, however, the best time for 3D/4D images is between 28-32 weeks. After 32 weeks, you will still be able to get good images, but the baby will start having less room.

No. This type of ultrasound is elective and for entertainment purposes only and is not covered by insurance. You must be under the care of an OB/GYN and have undergone a medical diagnostic ultrasound ordered by your provider to confirm due date, screen for anomalies or any other pregnancy related issues before having an elective ultrasound. At no time is this elective ultrasound to be used in place of a diagnostic ultrasound.

Drink plenty of water the day of and at least 7 days before your appointment. You do not need a full bladder, but being well hydrated will improve the quality of the ultrasound. Baby may not always be in the best position to be clearly seen or to determine gender. We will do our best to get good images of your baby, however, if you are unable to see your baby or determine gender, you can reschedule another appointment for free.
